PsychoOncology: Hematology

Psycho-oncology and psycho-hematology is a field or sub-field that deals with the psychological and neurological aspects of cancer diagnosis, treatment therapy and aftercare, among other things.
It combines methods and teachings of hematopathology from the hereditary disease sickle cell anemia. Sickle cell anemia is a disease of the red blood platelets, or hemolytic anemia, and hemoglobinopathy.
It is caused by a genetic defect (point mutation), resulting in autosomal recessive inheritance. Psycho-oncology combines insights from psychology, oncology, hematology, psychiatric treatment, social work, and other relevant caregivers of cancer patients and other blood disorders to provide support to their families.
My goal as a psycho-oncologist is to improve the quality of life of those affected by providing emotional and psychological support, such as hypnotherapy in combination with strategies for coping with the chronic pain of sickle cell patients, in addition to chemotherapy and weeks of hospital stays.
PSYCHOHEMATOLOGY
Psychohematology deals with the psychological stress of patients suffering from anemia and malignant blood diseases. Oncology refers to the teachings and developments in hematology and tumor treatments.
PSYCHOHEMATOLOGY & HYPNOSIS
Psychohematology involves strategies for managing pain, especially acute pain crises. A pain crisis (vaso-occlusive episode or VOE) can occur suddenly and involves pain in the whole body or a part of the body. Pain is most commonly felt in the chest, back, feet, or hands. Acute, chronic, and/or both pains are a class of opioid medications sometimes used for pain relief.
Pediatric emergencies in the care of patients with sickle cell disease during an acute pain crisis, also known as sickle cell disease and drepanocytosis. It belongs to the group of hemoglobinopathies (a disorder of hemoglobin, a hereditary disorder of the red blood cells).
Children diagnosed with sickle cell disease should be enrolled and cared for in a specialized treatment center. There, in addition to psychological support, they will also receive physiotherapists, therapists, and social workers who specialize in sickle cell disease. Inpatient treatment during a vaso-occlusive episode (VOE) requires opioid narcotics and strong painkillers, such as morphine, primarily for the treatment of severe pain. The most common form of therapy is inpatient or outpatient care. Psychological support for children/adolescents and adults is necessary and unavoidable.
Psychohematology and hypnosis are ideal for providing relief to sick family members and those with sickle cell anemia. Hypnosis psychotherapy offers a variety of methods and strategies to prevent acute vascular episodes or VOE (sudden pain crises) and to prevent circulatory disorders. Therefore, it is highly advisable to take regular appointments with children/adults, in addition to the psychohematology practice, to the hematology & oncology outpatient clinic and to attend preventive examinations.
In addition, sickle cell patients frequently require blood transfusions during severe pain crises, attacks triggered by stress, or when the hemoglobin level drops slightly. Curing the point mutation requires a bone marrow transplant or a stem cell transplant (SCT).
In severe cases, sickle cell disease can lead to complications such as acute chest syndrome or a stroke. Chemotherapy or radiation therapy can destroy the diseased sickle cells and replace them with healthy donor marrow. These are the treatment options used in severe cases of the disease.
HYPNOSIS FOR HEMOGLOBINOPATHIES
My hypnotherapy with suggestions or autosuggestion therapy for pain patients is carried out with HZ frequency and subliminal affirmations to regulate the patient's pain awareness.
Hypnosis psychotherapy helps calm the nervous system and reduce the awareness of pain, so the positive mood can stimulate healing through suggestions. 528 Hertz is considered a healing frequency and is often used in modern physics to repair genetic defects.
